Outline
Intro the team (5m)
Introduce the learning support team (trainers and producers). Don't forget to introduce the producers and let them talk about themselves.
Breakout Room Setup (5m)
Have users select their breakout rooms if you have not already done this. Use the class breakout board to let users drag their names into a room they want to be in with people they work with on a regular basis)
Orient to the board and tools (8m)
- Zoom: wave hands vs. reactions, expect video to be on unless you have to step away, come off mute when needed
- Miro: basic layout of boards (group vs shared class boards), daily backlogs and breakdown of goals by day, real time feedback, song request board, global pin board, class pets board, go to someone function (ability to click on someone's name to get to their location)
- CAVU: Login to group, view homework, daily interactions
Breakout 1 (Team Introductions) (10m)
In this breakout, learners will meet their team, identify a team name, identify a Scrum Master (the person on their team that will help them track time, ensure everyone is aware of where to go on the Miro board, and generally facilitate conversations) and their Product Owner (the person that will ensure the team is maximizing the value they are receiving from the learning experience, they will coordinate with the learning team to maximize value to their team). - Recap by having POs briefly introduce their team name and roles
Breakout 2 (Learning backlog) (10m)
Have learners facilitate a group conversation where they answer two questions (What are you most excited to learn in this course? What do you think your number one blocker to performing good scrum will be?). Individual answers should be placed on sticky notes and added to the team's learning backlog. - Recap by having POs discuss the "gist of their conversation"
